We value community service here at Corvian Community Charter School. Our 6th-8th grade students participate in Service Learning Projects that encourage active participation in community related endeavors in the Charlotte and surrounding areas. Some examples of what our students are involved in include reading to therapy dogs, assisting Corvian Community School’s Booster Club concessions during sporting events, making bagged lunches at Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen, teaching preschool children during church services at Lake Forest Church, sharing time through crafting and singing with the residents at Saturn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and helping at various animal rescues and shelters. Not only do the students learn the value of helping others, they are building meaningful relationships in the community through giving back. It’s a win/win for all!
