Q: As a parent, what can I see in Schoology?

Schoology provides a platform for communication between the school and families. At the middle and high school level, parents are able to review the course content and monitor their student’s progress by viewing calendar updates, assignments, resources, discussions, completed assessments, and grades posted by their student’s teachers. Parents will access these by viewing their student's profile and/or receiving daily or weekly email digests. Schoology does not allow for parents to receive email notifications when changes or updates are made to a student's account.

Q: I am the parent of a middle/high school level student. What should I do if I have a question about the grades or resources on one of my student’s course pages?

We ask that you encourage your student to email or speak directly to their teacher to get answers to questions about course policies, course content, or grades. If you and your student still have questions after your student has spoken with the teacher, please send the teacher an email.

No. The best way to contact a teacher is via email. Teacher email addresses can be found in the staff directory.
