Corvian Community School (CCS) is a North Carolina Public Charter School. We welcome students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. No tuition is required to attend CCS.

Priority Wait List Request Form (K-10)- only available to CURRENT FAMILIES OF CCS from November 1, 2018 - November 30, 2018. Corvian Community School’s enrollment is based on the lottery system. A school-wide lottery draw will be used to determine admission for each grade (K-10).
The General Admission Lottery for the 2019-2020 academic year will open on November 1, 2018, and close on January 31, 2019. The lottery drawing will take place on Tuesday, February 12th at 4:30 pm at the High School. Results will be available online after the drawing.
The Sibling Lottery for the 2019-2020 academic year will be available to current CCS families from November 1, 2018 - November 30, 2018. The sibling application process is conducted separately from General Admission.
Parents/Guardians who miss the online General Admission application window (Nov. 1 - Jan. 31) may print an application HERE. Completed applications should be mailed to the address below. Late applications will not be accepted via electronic (email) or fax submission.

Late applications will be numbered in the order they are received and assigned a waitlist status following the computer-generated lottery. Late applications are not eligible to be included in the computer-generated lottery ran and thus will not be assigned lottery numbers to be referenced on the lottery results waitlists. If you submit a late application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to determine your waitlist placement.
CCS will enroll students from the waitlist when there is availability through the 20th day of the new school year. After the enrollment window is closed, all wait lists are considered void.
You may choose ONLY ONE of the applications options listed below. If duplicate applications are found, you will be notified and may be disqualified from the lottery. Erroneous registration content may also negatively impact your enrollment and lottery eligibility.
Option 2: Multiple Child Registration. If you have more than one child (including multiple birth siblings) to register for the lottery, you must select this option. The child you list FIRST will represent your family and determine which grade your registration number will be entered in for the lottery drawing.
All registered children in a family will be assigned ONE unique lottery registration number. If that registration number is admitted AND you accept the spot, then ALL siblings will be placed on the sibling priority wait list in the order of the admitted sibling's position and admit date.
The General Admission Lottery will be held at the High School Campus on Tuesday, February 12th at 4:30 pm to determine admission. All applications received during the application window will be entered into the drawing.
Parents may attend the lottery drawing, but attendance is not required. Attending the lottery does not improve chances of admission. Lottery results will be posted on the CCS website in a PDF format after the lottery. The PDF will contain unique registration numbers only and lottery results per grade level. The Corvian Community School Board of Directors will determine the number of openings at each grade level prior to the lottery.
Openings will first be filled using the sibling priority wait list. Afterward, a lottery draw program will be utilized to fill any openings in each grade. Once all openings are filled, the lottery draw will continue to determine the order of the wait list for each grade.
NOTE: Since all registered children in a family are assigned ONE unique lottery registration number, if you registered using the multiple child registration method (Option 2), you will only find your registration number on the FIRST child’s grade level wait list. You will not find your registration number on the grade level wait list for their siblings. You may email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about the waitlist status of a sibling.
Following the lottery, families who have been admitted will be formally notified by an email from the admissions office. Families have seven (7) calendar days to formally accept their spot(s) at Corvian. Formal acceptance must be in the form of submitting a complete enrollment packet and responding to an inquiry from the school by the given deadline. Failure to formally accept and/or respond to inquiries within the seven calendar day period will constitute forfeiture of the child's spot. Parents/Guardians are ultimately responsible for ensuring requirements have been fulfilled to secure placement. The admissions office will continue to admit students from the waitlist until all available spots are filled.
Until all available spots are filled, the admissions office will continue to admit from grade level wait lists. As a whole, the wait list will dissolve each year after the 20th day of the new school year. Applicants who are not admitted from the waitlist must reapply for the Corvian lottery each year. Registration numbers and lottery results will NOT be given over the phone. Due to overwhelming requests, if you do not know your registration number or if you have questions about lottery results, please email firstname.lastname@example.org rather than calling the school.
IMPORTANT: Waitlist movement throughout the school year is NOT updated online. Online results provide a one time snapshot from lottery night only.
