The Lottery Process

Interested in enrolling at CCS for the 2020-2021 school year?

Corvian Community School is a tuition-free NC Public Charter School and will serve students in grades K - 11 during the 2020-2021 school year. In the fall of 2021, we will serve students K-12. CCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.

CCS will be using an automated lottery system called Lotterease to determine 2020-2021 enrollment. Below is information about how to apply and navigate the Lotterease platform.

Highlights of Important Information

School Tours are available throughout the lottery registration period, no RSVP required. To plan your visit, please refer to our school tour schedule

It is imperative that you complete the appropriate registration for your family (see below). Applications that do not meet admission criteria may be excluded from the lottery.

CCS offers two (2) lottery registration options. To apply for the CCS lottery, you will select ONE:

  1. General Admission Lottery Registration (November 1, 2019 - January 31, 2020) - OPEN to late applicants - register now!

  2. Sibling/Staff Priority Lottery Registration (November 1, 2019 - November 30, 2019) CLOSED

As a whole, the school waiting list will dissolve each year after the 20th day of the new school year. Applicants who are not admitted from the waitlist must reapply for the Corvian lottery each year.

Lottery Drawing

The 2020-2021 General Admission Lottery will be held at the High School Campus on Tuesday, February 11th at 4:00pm to determine admission. All applications received during the registration period will be entered into the lottery drawing.

The Corvian Community School Board of Directors will determine the number of openings at each grade level prior to the lottery.

Seats will first be filled by giving priority to students registered on the Sibling/Staff Priority waiting list. Remaining seats will be filled by students registered for the General Admission Lottery via a Lotterease lottery drawing. Once all seats are filled, the lottery draw will continue to determine the order of the waitlist for each grade.

You may attend the lottery drawing, however, attending the lottery does not improve chances of admission and attendance is not necessary. Lottery results will be available on the CCS website after the lottery, or via your Lotterease parent account

Late Registration

Registrations will still be accepted after the registration period and lottery drawing. Late registrations will be placed on the waiting list as they are submitted.
